Experienced SEN Teacher
I have 3 years experience teaching a range of SEN issues in mainstream schools. I can adapt all lessons to suit your child’s additional needs. I specialise in teaching and learning for Dyslexic Students.
Dyslexia
Dyslexia is a processing issue with letters and words. By adapting my lessons to be Dyslexic friendly your child will make more progress than without specialist help. I can teach your child coping strategies that will allow them to manage thier own condition better and give them more confidence in thier ability at school.
ASD (Autism Spectrum Disorder)
I have taught a large number of students who have ASD and can ensure that lessons are made and presented in a way your child will understand. I can use a large range of techniques to make sure that the most amount of progress is made.
ADHD
ADHD can be especially challenging within a school environment. Many children with ADHD do not enjoy school and the traditional learning methods used. By minimising the length of individual tasks I can ensure your child is fully engaged thoughout the whole session and make fantastic progress.
Dyscalculia
Like Dyslexia this is a processing issue but unlike Dyslexia this is an issue with numerical processing. Maths can be an espcially difficult subject for students with Dyscalculia. I can teach your child in a way they understand and give them coping strategies they can implement in school and exams to manage their condition.
